Our family has started to get into playing the Appalachian mountain dulcimer for fun and for homeschool. Kind of a cultural development thing for the kids. That's actually a good excuse for doing something that we all find to be a lot of fun. One of those things that as homeschoolers, we can do, just because we want to.
One of the people in the dulcimer group that we go to a couple times a month also plays the tin whistle, so we are thinking of getting one or more of those as well. So I was online looking around and came across this great little video. It's pretty amazing. In case you're confused, both boys are playing tin whistles, they are playing the same song, so both of their hands are playing the same exact notes, but they just traded hands for half of the whistle. That is, one hand is on his own whistle, the other hand is on the brother's whistle (I think they're brothers), and vice versa:
