Happy Birthday To Me...!

Imelda made me some my favorites, oat bran muffins, tuna empanadas and aqua de horchata (rice water, although she doesn't use rice). I even saved some of them from Alden and Mark! It was a real nice, simple day.

Then Mom and Dad took our whole family out to dinner for my birthday, then cake and ice-cream at their house afterward. While we were at the restaurant, Azteca, Imelda mentioned to the right (or wrong, depending on your perspective) person and they sang the embarrassing happy birthday song and put a big Mexican sombrero on me and took a picture for your viewing pleasure of my embarrassment.

Enough for now. I'm up way too late...

This is from a few weeks ago. I recorded it before remembering that I had a windscreen for the microphone. So you'll hear an annoying wind blowing across the microphone. Also starting at about 6:40 into the recording, you'll hear our new air conditioner (heat pump, actually) come on.

Chrissy talking to Imelda

Imelda was talking to Chrissy and she was talking back a lot. I flipped on the recorder, and found in editing that Imelda was frequently talking back. You know how moms are. Anyway, I didn't want it to go to waste, so what's left is uploaded here for your boredom or enjoyment.
